Stop-motion rhythm game inSynch has my toe tappin’

Coming to Windows, Linux and Mac in April

Them Games Studio says that their upcoming game, inSynch, falls somewhere between a rhythm game and a musical instrument. Its gameplay is simple: it has you popping up objects that roll in from the four corners of the screen into a hole by pressing one of four buttons. Both your successes and mistakes change the musical score in real time, so you’re working to survive as long as possible while also make music.

inSynch was created by hand with stop-motion animation techniques, using paper, wood, and concrete. The look is striking, and it matches nicely with the feel of the music. Stick with the trailer — the music is cool as hell near the end.

Just seeing the trailer has me hooked. Its look and music are obvious draws, but the rhythm gameplay is right up my alley. It looks like it could get pretty hectic.

What do you think?

Them Games Studio tells us that inSynch launches on PC on April 24, priced at $4.99. It will be available on their website as well as at the Humble store, with even more platforms coming soon.
