Steam’s summer sale is apparently coming June 11

Prepare thy wallet, the harvest is nigh

On a dark, humid night, you hear it. Slowly, it creeps towards you – clink. Clink. Clink. It sounds inhuman. You close your eyes, hoping the thing won’t find you… but it does. It always does.

You can feel its ice cold breath on the back of your neck, its seering gaze burning in to your skull. It slowly leans towards you, so close it could touch you… and then… it whispers the most ghastly thing any human could ever hear. Your life is never the same.

Torchlight 2, 75% off.”

According to Russian IGN, Valve’s official VKontakte (social network popular in Russia) page has announced the Steam Summer Sale is coming on June 11, lasting until June 20. After that, we’ll get two days of encore sales where the best sales from before are offered again.

Thanks to Google Translate, here is what the VK page says:

“Steam Sale starts June 11 at 20:00 Moscow time.

June 20 will begin “Sale Encore,” which will involve all the companies that participated in the Summer Sale .

The very sale ends June 22 at 20:00 Moscow time.

The events and other details so far unknown.

Also we advise to read our guidance on sales, not to spend all the money in one day.”

It’s coming for you. It will take your money, as it has every year previous. You will feel a slight sense of disappointment when the deal of the day is Square Enix’s games for 75% off like they always bloody are. This is the way of the world, and there is no fighting it.

It’s here.
