Steam Big Picture mode has launched

Celebrate with savings on controller-enabled games

Recommended Videos

Valve has ended the beta for the “Big Picture Mode” feature of Steam, the alternative user interface for large displays with navigation support for controllers, and opened it to all users today. And as it seems that they will take any excuse to have a sale, Steam is offering up to 75% off on over thirty controller-enabled games from the store.

The available games aren’t overwhelmingly exciting, with titles like Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2 almost perpetually on sale, but there are some other gems in the lot. Wizorb will cost you three slim quarters (though the game truly is far easier with a mouse) and Orcs Must Die! 2 is $3.74, which is a fine price. And while I’m currently working on a review of A Virus Named Tom, you might want to take a look at that too.

The sale promotion runs all week, through December 10.
