Starfield mod is turning the Bethesda game into Star Wars

Giving you more "star" in your star-based game.

If you haven’t been paying attention these past couple of weeks, Starfield is something of a big deal. Love it or hate it, there’s no denying it’s the biggest launch of this generation. The community was already releasing mods the day it released, and now someone is deciding to really hammer home the “stars” theme.

As spotted by PCGamesN, Nexus Mods user kboykboy is converting Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG into something more akin to Star Wars. And by “akin,” I mean they literally want to convert it into Star Wars. The Galactic Civil War era, specifically.

While you can download the mod in its current state, all that you’ll notice so far is the United Colonies police force have been changed into Stormtroopers. The modder does make it clear that this is a work-in-progress, so more Star Wars-y things will be added.

I mean…it is about a war that takes place among the stars

Quite how long it will take kboykboy to transform Starfield so it’s more visually in-line with George Lucas’ universe cannot be said. These things do take time, but it’s an interesting and ambitious project.

Although Bethesda’s new release has been receiving a large amount of praise, it’s not without its faults. Starfield does have its share of bugs, but given that this is a game made by the same people that brought us Skyrim and Fallout 76, this one is surprisingly held together well.

As the days and weeks go by, we’re going to be seeing so many more mods for Starfield make their presence known. Maybe like The Elder Scrolls 5, there’ll be Thomas the Tank Engine, but in space this time. Oh wait, that’s totally a thing.
