Also, zombie-infested mining colonies are in!

I haven’t picked up StarCraft II in a long time, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one. But with StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm coming soon, I caught the real-time-strategy bug again and need some sweet resource management to tide me over.

Last week, Battle.net had an interview with Daren “Abilty” Yoong, a game designer on one of the StarCraft II community’s most well-known and well-supported mods, Night of the Dead. It is a very interesting interview; Yoong describes his beginnings in mod creation and game design with the Warcraft III mod Night of the Dead II. He also speaks to the work ethic of his international development team with their combined efforts amounting to over 3,000 hours to content creation and refinement.

While you wait to tear a new hole in the Terran and Protoss battle-lines, why not pay a little visit with your friends to the Apollo Mining Colony? Just watch out for the locals — they can get a little grabby.
