Starbreeze confirms cancellation of a title

One of a handful of developers that has proven it can release quality, entertaining film-based adaptations, Starbreeze Studios, has stated that one of its projects with EA has been cancelled. In a recent GI.biz report, the studio confirmed that a pre-production phase title in partnership with the publisher has been canned — but plans are still in place to collaborate on another “big production.”

Starbreeze CEO Johan Kristiansson told GI.biz that despite this cancelled project, their relationship with EA is “stronger than ever,” and “the aim now is to spend more resources on the game” — one of the two the duo had planned — “that demonstrated the greatest potential.” This mysterious title is in “full production,” but what exactly it is, is anyone’s guess. We only hope it has something to do with Riddick. Or a dude with tentacle arms.
