You could say that sales so far have been… stellar
Less than a month after pre-orders opened for Chucklefish’s upcoming sci-fi sandbox Starbound, the developer reports that it has already netted more than one million dollars from over 45,000 pre-sales. In hitting this milestone, the third stretch goal of starter pets has been unlocked, joining an additional playable race and collectible fossils.
No word on any further stretch goals is available currently, but presumably Starbound will hit at least a couple more milestones before its release later this year.
