Star Wars: The Old Republic spreading to more regions

BioWare is officially bringing Star Wars: The Old Republic outside of North America and Europe next month. On March 1, 2012, the game will launch in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

If you live in one of these regions and signed up your SWTOR account before February 28, they’re going to let you request a free character transfer to an Asia Pacific server following the rollout in March. You’ll be notified around that time if you qualify.

Leading up to this release, local participating retailers in New Zealand and Australia have a pre-order bonus for the Standard Edition of the game: an in-game color crystal that allows you to change your weapon effect. BioWare also noted that all regions are going to be eligible for a Founder’s medal.
