The fact that a new Star Fox game is set for release this year still feels a little surreal. Fan expectations are bound to be high, as the wait for this one has been long and hard. That may seem like a bad thing for Nintendo, as it has a lot to lose if the game stinks, but the fact that people still care enough about this little 3D shmup series is something to be grateful for.

Instead of eventually fading away, it looks like Star Fox might be more popular than ever. That’s certainly how it appears on certain areas of the internet, where Fox-related Smash Bros. memes, “Do a Barrel Roll” references, and other related Star Fox fan happenings are still at a high.

You’d think that anthropomorphic animals would eventually go out of style, but if Rocket Raccoon, Regular Show, and that gosh darn Lucario amiibo are any indication, the public’s fascination with furry talking friends isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Upon limited inspection, it was easy to discover that there is already a sizable crossover between Star Fox and Regular Show fans in particular. If you are one of those crossover fans, this video is for you.
