Square Enix’s new engine renders beautiful…garages

Square Enix is showing off their powerful new graphics engine with renderings of a parking garage. Woo. Their Luminous Studio engine was covered at the Square Enix Open Conference, a technology event that Square Enix held at its Shinjuku office this past weekend. Andriasang says that these pictures were distributed to event attendees.

While a parking garage isn’t very exciting, the lighting in the realtime shots is something. Looking at the side-by-side images, it’s hard to pick the fake one at first glance. Super realistic, wouldn’t you say?
