The previous two Remixes were on PS3
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, which looks fantastic, is on its way to PS4 later this year when it opens up to a December 2016 worldwide release. But that’s the only PS4 collection on the way, as HD 1.5 Remix and HD 2.5 Remix were previously released on PS3.
Speaking to co-director Tai Yasue, GameSpot discovered that Square might be open to an updated PS4 release, stating that he’s “not ruling it out,” but he’s “not making an announcement just yet.” What about Kingdom Hearts III? Well, it’s “moving along fine.”
As a massive series fan I’d be the first to get an updated PS4 edition of the two previous remixes, especially if they update it with the new Unreal Engine 4 tweaks — though I doubt they’d go through that much trouble right now.
