Spore Hero shows off some creation

Spore is kind of becoming the village bicycle for gaming genres. Sure it started out as a ambitious simulator, but now its also been an adventure game, an RTS game and an odd DS game. Up next for a ride is platforming and fighting and the system to do it is the Wii. Spore Hero is the Wii’s version of the game that lets you create a creature and then throw him into a planet saving adventure.

In the above trailer you can see how the Spore Creature Creator has been modified for the Wii, and how to make a Spider Bat. After that some action takes place. I’m not sure exactly how the multiplayer fighting will work, but being able to create your own fighter and use its different aspects is pretty interesting. Sadly, this will probably be geared too much towards kids to really get very deep or interesting. To tell the truth I’m more interested in the single player aspect of the game and how creature creation will affect it. Leave the monster fighting to the Pokemon.
