Splinter Cell Conviction, Red Steel 2 pushed to 2010

We heard rumblings of this last week, but we didn’t want to believe it was true — Ubisoft has pushed the releases of Splinter Cell Conviction and Red Steel 2 into 2010.

In its First-Quarter 2009-10 Sales report, the publisher confirmed the delays, along with confirmation that the fourth fiscal quarter will see the release of a new Ghost Recon, as well as the mysterious I Am Alive

In fact, the second quarter of fiscal 2009-10 sees very few Ubisoft releases. The publisher only plans to release Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles titles for Wii and PlayStation 2, the game tie-in for the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs film, Academy of Champions in territories outside of North America, as well as a handful of casual titles for Wii and Nintendo DS.

If you’re into numbers, the full report can be read on Ubisoft’s corporate Web site.
