Splatterhouse trailer blends beauty and pain

I really want Splatterhouse to be a good remake. With so many series getting the reboot treatment these days, it’s getting to the point where I’m worried we’ll all become jaded at the prospect, especially if there winds up being a glut of poorly produced updates.

This trailer gives me a little bit of hope. Rick’s animations look really beautiful but, then, just about everything does in slow-motion. The latter bits at the end show more of what actual gameplay is going to look like, albeit in short bursts that don’t offer up too much in the way of information.

It looks very stylish and raw. I just really need to get my hands on it and know. The wait until this fall is going to kill me.
