Splatterhouse lives up to its name in these screenshots

For a while there, I was under the impression Splatterhouse wouldn’t make it out of development hell; it’s nice to see that’s not the case. Since the last time I gave the game a serious look, it seems the team at Namco Bandai has updated the art style for the better. Exaggerated outlines? Yes please!

The original set of Splatterhouse games was pretty violent for the time, so this is going to sound weird, but jeez, look at all of this blood. It is literally everywhere. Thankfully, I can appreciate videogames and films that aim for the wonderful laugh-inducing level of gore.

Look out for this ridiculous game on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 during the third quarter of this year.
