Splatoon gets new minigun and bucket weapons

The game that keeps on giving

A new Japanese commercial for Splatoon highlights some brand new weapons coming to the game, including a minigun like the Heavy’s in Team Fortress 2. In addition to that, there’s a literal bucket that just sloshes paint everywhere and seems to have a very concentrated shot. The Rainmaker is also shown off, which is only available in the mode of the same name. It looks to be an Inkzooka that charges up with a cool gold dragon-headed skin.

The commercial also shows off two new levels, and even some new gear. One level is an apartment complex and the other is on a long and narrow bridge. The apartment level looks absolutely insane, as there seems to be a ton of areas to head to at any given time. Not much was shown of the bridge level, but it looks like there’s a higher level with grates and a floor level below.

The new weapons look absolutely amazing, and I want them this instant. I’d love to see more heavy weapons added to Spatoon, as I feel like that’s an area that is currently lacking. The bucket looks super unique, and is bound to fit my in-your-face playstyle, just like the Inkbrush.
