We reported just the other day how Nintendo’s online shooter Splatoon 2 would be celebrating the spoopy month of October with a special Splatoween weekend. Well, now it appears that the creepy in-game masks that players can wear in match are now ready for download, and also come complete with effects to help you out in battle.

The four masks can be downloaded right now by clicking a link found in a new Squid Research Lab Report (so make sure you’re subscribed to that newsletter) Simply scroll down to the bottom of the post via your Switch console and click the link to download the new gear to your account.

After listening to Off the Hook stars Pearl and Marina chat about the upcoming event, players will receive four pieces of Level 3 headgear. They are listed below along with their respective in-game boost:

Hockey Mask – Ink Recovery Up
Anglerfish Mask – Ink Saver (Main weapon)
Kyonshi Hat – Ink Saver (Sub weapon)
Li’l Devil Horns – Speed Boost

So there you have it, now you’re all set for the 48-hour splatfest that will take place during Splatoween, running October 19 to October 21 – a full ten days before Halloween, but don’t let that trouble you. Have fun, Squid Kids!

Splatoon 2 is available now on Nintendo Switch.
