Spider-Man’s E3 trailer is full of explosions, web-slinging and tons of villains!

EXCELSIOR!

Coming off the backs of trailers for Death Stranding and Resident Evil 2, I wasn’t sure Spider-Man would even impress me. How the hell can you top those games? While I’m not as blown away as I was with Sony’s other offerings, I think Insomniac may have finally converted me to the cause. Spidey just looks damn impressive, even with all the bombast and crazy effects.

I think this might secretly be that Sinister Six movie that Sony wanted to make. We got a glimpse at Electro, Scorpion, Rhino, Vulture and a couple of others. There wasn’t a good look at the open-world setting, but Sony did show us more after the conference was over.

Overall, I’m pretty optimistic about Spider-Man. It may not be the game for me, but this is a far cry from the garbage superhero games we were getting on the 360 and PS3 (I’m looking at you, Iron Man 2).
