Wondering when you’ll get a chance to explore the four-dimensioned universe of Beenox’s Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions? How does September 2010 sound?

Publisher Activision has confirmed the fall release date, as well as delivering some new screenshots that give us a closer look at what’s in store. Shattered Dimensions is being written by Marvel writer Dan Slott, and will focus on the goal of of capturing the energy of the “Table of Order and Chaos,” which has been shattered and spread across various universes. Villains revealed include Kraven, as well as a “never-before-seen” Noir version of Hammerhead.

The game looks ambitious; covering so much Spider-Man lore in one game could be dangerous. Will Shattered Dimensions meet Bobby Kotick’s strict Spidey standards? We’ll know more a bit later this week when we get our first-hand look at the game at WonderCon in San Francisco.
