You can thank Kyle Orland for this week’s freebie, Time4Cat. This morning, he tweeted about the game’s dangerous ability to suck away your free time. After spending most of today playing it on and off, I can confirm his statement to be accurate.
To sum Time4Cat up briefly, you run around a busy intersection as a cat with an apparently never-ending appetite. The longer food goes untouched, the fewer points it ends up being worth. Also, brushing up against funky pedestrians results in a game over, but they only move when you move.
There’s a nice risk-reward dynamic at play, and a certain dream-like quality to the visuals that I really enjoy. Be sure to try it out.
