Featuring 100+ minutes of new short films
The creators of the Indie Game: The Movie have announced a special edition of the acclaimed documentary that’s coming July 24 in two forms. On Steam and the movie’s official site, the digital version packs in 100+ minutes of bonus footage with commentary provided by Team Meat, epilogues and “What Happened After?” for the film’s main cast, and a new directors commentary.
If you own the original, this is $4.99; otherwise, it’s $14.99 for everything in one digital package. Then there’s the limited-edition boxed set, available for Blu-ray ($69) or DVD ($59), that throws in a bunch of extras like a dual-sided poster, a 48-page notebook, stickers, and more. Note that those prices are for pre-orders and are actually at a discount.
It’s been long enough since I’ve seen Indie Game that I would be down for a rewatch but, more than anything, I just want to catch that bonus footage. During the production of the original release, there were some great one-off clips that didn’t make it into the film and I assume the new special edition content is along those lines.
