After several false starts, it appears that everybody’s favourite swingin’ news reporter Ulala is, at long last, ready to bring you the hot scoops once again. Sega has confirmed that Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash! will finally launch on PSVR this month.

Taking the role of a budding young rookie reporter, players will follow the lovely Ulala as she struts her way through the galaxy, taking down those pesky Morolians with her slick moves and those ground-shaking platform boots. Equipped with a PSVR unit and PlayStation Move controllers, players will dance, pose and vogue their way to high TV ratings and the ensuing super-stardom.

Kinda Funky News Flash! includes a Story Mode – featuring new and returning characters from the Dreamcast classics – as well as an Arcade mode, a Dance Trial mode, replay functions, costume customisation, and even a calorie counter. Extra content is expected to arrive in future DLC downloads. Good to see you again, Ulala, it’s been chu long.

Space Channel 5 VR launches on PSVR  North America February 25, with Europe and Japan to follow a day later on February 26. While ports are expected for SteamVR, HTC Vive and Oculus, an official release date is still to be confirmed.
