Yesterday, Sony teased the world like a little trollop with the promise of a surprise sequel announcement. Most gamers bet that it would be Resistance 3, but Insomniac and Sony have declared that this obvious game wasn’t correct. Why, that’s nowhere near surprising enough!
Insomniac’s James Stevenson confirmed that, while he knows what the surprise game is, it’s “not a title from Insomniac.” So, although we’re all pretty certain that Resistance 3 is coming, that won’t be the new game officially announced this week. You can set your brain to work again, guys.
I’m pretty stoked for what this announcement could be. The other games that have all but been confirmed are inFAMOUS 2 and Killzone 3, but if Sony has any self awareness, it’ll know that neither of those announcements are very surprising. So long as it’s not a sequel to Lair, I think it’ll be cool no matter what gets revealed.
