This year’s PlayStation Store PLAY promotion begins July 26 with Double Fine’s ’70s-tastic side-scrolling adventure game Headlander. Each week during the block, a new game will appear on PlayStation 4 (Abzu on August 2, Brut@l on August 9, and lastly Bound on August 16).

With an active PlayStation Plus membership, you can save 20 percent on any of these titles by pre-ordering. If you buy two or more of them (even if you aren’t a PS Plus subscriber), you’ll earn a 20 percent off coupon for one entire cart purchase on the PlayStation Store. That’s tempting.

Let’s run through the games real quick.

Headlander

Abzu

Brut@l

Bound

Funny guy Steven Hansen tells me Headlander is very funny, so that’s a distinct possibility, but otherwise I’ll stick with Abzu as my “for sure, gotta have it” purchase and wait on reviews for the other games. It’s a good-feeling underwater adventure with art from Journey‘s Matt Nava. Enough said.
