Sony Computer Entertainment has stepped up as a special sponsor of Tokyo Game Show 2014’s Indie Game Area and Sense of Wonder Night. Both are showcases for independent games at the trade show. Sony has vowed to cover 100 percent of the exhibition fees of Indie Game Area, regardless of exhibitors’ title or platform. That’s about $1,000 per exhibitor. How nice!

They’ve extended the application deadline for exhibitors to June 11, well beyond the original deadline of May 30.

Last year was the first year for the Indie Game Area at TGS. 41 devs came from 10 regions to show off their wares, making for a great first showing. Here’s our report from that event.
