Sony reveals the exclusive content it nabbed for Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion

An exotic, a Strike (dungeon), a ship, and ugly armor

Destiny 2‘s latest expansion that’s going to be more inline with the big Taken King update in Destiny 1 and less piecemeal, is ready to launch next Tuesday — but before then we’ll get a quick look at content Sony is getting exclusively for the PS4.

Yep, as is customary since the original Destiny several years back Sony scooped up some key bits of exclusive stuff that aren’t on Xbox, and now with the advent of Destiny 2, PC, for a full year. Sometimes that stuff rocks, sometimes it doesn’t (the practice doesn’t rock I’ll tell you that much), and this Forsaken content could go either way. Arguably the biggest addition is the Wavesplitter, a “new weapon from the makers of the Coldheart. It’s an exotic that uses sonic weaves to heat electrons, creating an energy beam with three power levels that feeds off orbs of light.

Then there’s the Hive-centric Broodhold Strike (dungeon), one armor set for each class (that ain’t got no alibi), and a ship called “The Great Beyond” that looks like most of the other ships in the game. Oh and a PS4 theme is out now. I fully expect the Strike to be recycled in some way but I really want to get my hands on the weapon at some point.
