If you have a valid PlayStation Plus subscription, keep an eye on your inbox – Sony is about to get in touch.

Following the prolonged downtime in the New Year, Sony is writing out to those who had valid PlayStation Plus or PlayStation Now subscriptions and were affected by the outage.

Though we’ve yet to see the detail, it’s anticipated that affected users will automatically have their compensation added to their subscription expiry dates.

In other PlayStation-flavoured news, update 3.15 is rolling out from today. The update is to improve system performance, apparently, and will not be introducing any new features.
