Sony launches smack talking yaybuttons.com

Sony might have taken a misstep with their marketing when it launched the Marcus campaign, which no one really seems to like, but I have to say they’re coming right back on track with the launch of YayButtons.com. This is a site where you click on buttons and find out why buttons are so much better than not buttons.

Every button click takes you through a rant by the greatest game marketing ploy ever, Kevin Butler. It’s basically a bitch slap to Microsoft’s button-less Kinect, and touts many things that we would all easily site as issues with not having any controller to control our games. Plus, you can check out the new Kevin Butler ad on the Move site, and it is once again hilarious.

I know we’re always saying how it’s bad when companies start talking smack and this will probably end badly once a game where you use Kinect and a controller comes out, but I feel like Sony and Microsoft have been playing it easy for far too long. Ball served Microsoft, let the trash talking begin!
