Who doesn’t want a chair or a pen created from a PSOne? Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has contracted a UK-based company by the name of Electronic Waste Company to potentially recycle several hundred thousand PSOne cases and turn them into household objects like chairs or even pens.

The idea behind this move is brilliant. As it stands now, SCEE is sitting on top of at least 300,000 PSOne cases in their repair center, and that’s probably a few too many than what is needed. Instead of just burying them in New Mexico, SCEE has decided to go green with console grey. It makes the environmental freaks happy, as well as clears out a warehouse.

This makes me wonder if, in thirteen years Microsoft decides to do this same thing, if it would be possible for a company to handle the breadth of the project? Microsoft is sitting pretty with five of my overheated Xbox 360s currently.
