Sony ends PlayStation 3 production in Japan

PS3 I love you

About half a year away from its 11th birthday, the PlayStation 3 will no longer be produced in Japan. The 500 GB model was the last remaining version, but now its production has ended as well.

Doesn’t seem that long ago that it released. The PS2 seemed to live on forever, so perhaps the PS3 will continue to be produced in the U.S. and Europe for some time as well. I unfortunately was never able to get my hands on the backward compatible OG version featuring Spider-Man font. Oh well.
