January 11 release date pushed back to… who knows?

Sony planned to release PlayStation 4 and Vita in China this Sunday, January 11, but that’s no longer in the cards. According to a Famitsu report, the electronics giant has postponed both launches “due to various circumstances.” A new date has yet to be announced.

Microsoft pulled a similar move back in September, issuing an eleventh-hour delay on the eve of the country’s Xbox One launch. The company released the system the very next week and sold over 100,000 units by early October. Maybe the wait for PlayStation will be similarly short-lived.
