Sony confirms those PS4 viral videos are fake

Al de Leon, Sony’s hardware PR representative, has confirmed to Game Informer that those PlayStation 4 viral videos are fake. Al simply told GI that he “can confirm that this video is not from SCE [Sony Computer Entertainment].”

So yeah, that was a giant waste of time and energy! Neat! You know what this whole thing reminds me of? That Nintendo ON hoax that made the rounds just before E3 2006. You remember that sh*t? Nintendo had yet to reveal the Wii so everyone and their mother thought the ON was the real deal.

In other news, I’m starting to really hate all this pre-E3 week madness. No, Valve is not making a Duke Nukem game. No, the PS4 isn’t going to be at E3 this year. No, I won’t be taking obscene photos with the Playboy Playmates at 2K’s E3 booth.

I mean yes. Yes I will.
