Sony buys up Media Molecule

Media Molecule, the makers of LittleBigPlanet, are now part of the PlayStation family. Sony Computer Entertainment has just announced that they’ve acquired the developer of the hit PS3 title. For those that would question why Sony would buy up a company that only made one game, the EU PlayStation Blog made a list of every award LittleBigPlanet has won. It’s quite impressive when you see it all together.

Nothing really changes for the gamer, Sony says. They also state that the team has “exciting projects in the pipeline” that will be shared in the near future. LBP2? Surely. Hopefully they have something else in the works too.
