Sony announces super cute new adventure romp Away: The Survival Series

Become a Sugar Glider in a terrifying nature doc

Amid the Final Fantasy VII teasing and MediEvil remake release date announcement, Sony revealed a brand new intriguing project during yesterday’s State of Play, Away: The Survival Series.

It’s actually coming to PC and PS4 “soon,” and the premise is an easy sell. You’ll play as a sugar glider trying to survive, with the game is framed around a nature documentary theme. You can get a look at its beautiful yet scary world (hey, that’s nature) below.

Away is compliments of Breaking Walls, a Montreal-based indie developer that says it’s spent “the last three years” working on the game. Breaking Walls has “decades of experience working on AAA titles such as Assassin’s Creed, Prince of Persia, and Far Cry,” and this will serve as their debut.

I’m not sure how it’ll work in practice, but the idea of a nature-based adventure game is enough for me.
