It’s no surprise that the sprawling Super Mario Maker supports Nintendo’s amiibo toys — we saw Wii Fit Trainer show up in-game a few months ago. All the amiibo are supported and grant character skins that have some special animations, as Chris noted in his preview.
You can also unlock all these fun costumes by completing the “100 Mario Challenge mode,” thankfully.
A few have popped up on the Miiverse, as scoped by GoNintendo. They’re so dang cute. Glad I don’t have to spends dozens of dollars on plastic to use them.
