Sonic Racing Transformed gets new character on PC

Free Weekend on Steam

It’s pretty rare that I get into kart racers these days, but Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed was a pleasant surprise. In fact, I’d recommend it to just about everyone, particularly if you have fond memories of Sega back when the company was making home consoles. Even without that context, however, it’s a ridiculously fun, challenging racer.

Now through Sunday at 1:00pm Pacific, you can play the game for free on Steam. You should strongly consider doing so. And if you like what you play, Transformed is $7.49 to permanently own. Sumo Digital has also added a brand new character: General Winter from Company of Heroes. Yeah, I don’t know, either. But hey, it’s free!
