Somehow this Infinite Space anime has to do with the game

Infinite Space is an upcoming DS title from Sega which places you in the shoes of a young hero named Yuri battling his way through space in what sounds to be a bit of a sci-fi epic. That sounds like it could be an interesting RPG to me, but unfortunately the video about contains no gameplay whatsoever, instead going with the anime movie approach instead.

I like anime and everything, but I won’t lie — it’s doing nothing for me in this particular trailer. What I want to see if how the game will actually play, and it looks like I’ll have to wait a while for that yet. Infinite Space is currently slated for a Spring 2010 release. One thing I do really like about the look, though, is that it seems like a nod to Japan’s classic 80’s sci-fi anime. What do you think — worth checking out, or are you tired of RPGs on the DS?
