Those who remain

There’s still quite some time to go before apocalypse-em-up sequel Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories heads west, but NIS America and pushing out the trailers to help keep this grim looking title at the forefront of people’s minds.

The latest preview is titled “Those Who Remain” and gives players a look at some of the other characters, alongside your custom protagonist, who made it through the the devastating earthquake that kicks of the narrative. Of course, many of these city dwellers have their own stories to tell. Some are looking for loved ones, some are injured and require assistance, while others are simply out for themselves, capitalising on the chaos that has brought the metropolis to its knees.

Your actions – and reactions – toward these encounters will affect your own journey in different ways. Helping others will obviously encourage your character’s mental state, and could lead to finding companions and shared resources. But sometimes, this assistance may come at a risk to your physical self, or lead to exploitation from greedy or ruthless individuals. It will be your call who to trust, what to share, and when to turn a blind eye, if you are able.

Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories will arrive in the west sometime in early 2020 for PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. A limited edition set is also planned for the console release.
