So, IGN acquired Humble Bundle

Yes, *that* IGN bought *that* Humble Bundle

It seemed like only a matter of time before someone bought Humble Bundle, especially as it has expanded its business in recent years, but I can’t say I expected IGN to be the one to make that deal.

The terms of the acquisition aren’t known, but according to Gamasutra, the entertainment media company will support Humble “in terms of accelerating growth and raising more money for charity.”

“If it’s not broken, don’t fix it,” said IGN executive VP Mitch Galbraith. “The idea is just to feed them with the resources they need to keep doing what they’re doing.”

Humble co-founder John Graham added that they “want to stick to the fundamentals in the short term. We don’t want to disrupt anything we’re doing right already. Because of the shared vision and overlap of our customer bases, there’s going to be a lot of opportunities.”

It’d be silly to expect no changes, but my guess for the near future is that IGN will be looking to incorporate bundles with its IGN Prime subscription plans as an added perk. Opportunities like that.
