In one of today’s weirdest bits of news, SNK has revealed the existence of a limited edition “Christmas” model of their nostalgia console, the Neo Geo Mini, which launched worldwide mere weeks ago.

This yuletide console is decorated in festive colours, such as red and gold, and features festive decorative stickers and even has the words “Merry Christmas” printed on it, so you can have fond memories of December when you’re playing it in April. Packaged with the main unit are two themed controllers, along with aforementioned stickers, a slip-mat, HDMI lead, and some screen protectors.

The Neo Geo Mini Christmas has also seen a shake-up in its game catalogue. Some titles have been removed, while others have been added, for a grand total of 48 games, eight more than either the Neo Geo Mini or the Neo Geo Mini International. You can check out the full list of titles in the gallery below.

Pre-orders for the Neo Geo Mini Christmas are expected to open worldwide “in the coming days”.
