SNK continues to make the current generation of consoles one of its most productive in years. Alongside the release of great games such as King of Fighters XIV, SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy and Samurai Shodown, the long-time publisher has also released its own mini retro console and, if rumours are to be believed, may even have a guest star headed Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Today brings more news from the company, with the reveal of the Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro, which has appeared on SNK’s official twitter. Details are scarce as to what this hardware entails, but given that it houses eight buttons, It’s likely that it is a multi-platform controller, rather than another plug-in-and-play device (Classic SNK games only need four buttons at best).

The stick’s design resembles the Neo Geo CD controller, and on closer inspection we can see a headphone jack, several mode buttons, and two connectivity sockets. SNK has noted that more details will be forthcoming on the Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro in future.
