Six more games
SNK low key crafted a lot of influential arcade games: ones that would create the framework in various genres so that other publishers could really take advantage of the market. We’re going to see a lot of those in the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection, which arrives on Nintendo Switch on November 13 for $39.99.
It’ll launch with 13 games on the cart/download, and on December 11, 11 more DLC titles will be added for free. SNK previously revealed Munch Mobile, Sasuke vs. Commander, Fantasy, Time Soldiers and Chopper I. The below trailer spills the beans on what that remaining DLC will entail: World Wars, Beast Busters, ZMA Wars, Paddle Mania, Bermuda Triangle and Search and Rescue.
In case you’re bad at math, that’s 24 games in all by the time the December 11 title update rolls around (nine will be incorporated automatically, two are by way of a free download on the eShop). There’s plenty of great resources available for these old school titles already, it just remains to be seen if the collection shell itself is up to snuff.
