Busy day for Nintendo fans

Speaking to Polygon, a U.S Toys R Us representative has said that they expect SNES Classic consoles to be in stock in their stores on Friday October 27th.

The stock is said to be being brought in along with further Switch console shipments in anticipation of the success of Nintendo’s Super Mario Odyssey, which launches the same day. “Since quantities are limited, we encourage customers to get in line before doors open (normal/local time) on Friday morning for a chance to purchase” the representative said.

No mention was made of quite how big said shipment would be, but regardless, I can expect throngs of people at many a Toys R Us door come Friday morning, whether there for Switch units, SNES Classics, or just the game itself. Good luck to any and all going for the much-sought-after retro console.

The article goes on to say that retail chain GameStop have also stated that they expect to take stock of more SNES Classics “Over the next two weeks.”
