SMITE is set for a March 2014 release date

It’s been in open beta this whole time

I know some of you have been enjoying SMITE for quite some time now, but it’s been in open beta for over a year. Finally, Hi-Rez Studios has set a release date — March 25, 2014. Hi-Rez will have a $100,000 tournament in Atlanta to celebrate, the participants of which will be based on events that start in January.

Currently, SMITE is sitting at 2.5 million registered users, which isn’t bad for a MOBA not named Dota 2 or League of Legends. Let’s hope that Hi-Rez actually supports this game after the first year.
