Smile! Geometry Wars 2 and 3 are backward compatible on Xbox One

That’s another essential game checked off

Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 is one of those games that I try to come back to each year, and I’m sure many of you hold it in similarly high regard. It’s a modern-day classic! I’m also willing to bet there are leaderboard chasers among us who never even left it in the first place. Today’s news is good news in either situation: the Xbox Live Arcade game is now backward compatible on Xbox One.

Alongside Geometry Wars 2, Microsoft is also now supporting the Xbox 360 version of Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved on the console. This is a rare case where a game is available on Xbox One outright and backward compatible for those who happen to own the last-generation port.

I’m gonna get so sidetracked by GW2 the next time I use my Xbox One. There’s no way around it.
