Valve’s co-op zombie shooter has made quite a few references to Simon Pegg’s classic Shaun of the Dead in the past, from Louis’ costume in Left 4 Dead 1 to the cricket bat melee weapon in Left 4 Dead 2. Today, Pegg himself been getting to grips with the latter game, and he seems to like it!
“Left 4 Dead 2 inserted. I have not come this far, to die now. Yo zombies … Let’s go,” Tweets Pegg. “Using the cricket bat. Feels right.”
Pegg’s initial impressions are glowingly positive: “This game is all kinds of awesome. Love the Zs too. Somehow fast is OK here. Good combo of Romero lethargy and 28 Days beserker rage. Sweet!”
So there you have it. Simon Pegg is an authority on all things undead, and he approves of Left 4 Dead 2. In case you needed any further proof that this game is terrific fun, you now have Pegg’s seal of approval. He even likes the fact that they’re the fast-style “Infected” as opposed to his preferred shamblers.
Now all we need to do is work out his Gamertag and stalk him … uh … I mean, not stalk him.
