Silent Hills team would have included horror manga creator Junji Ito

What was that? You’re finally ready to let go of what Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro could have brought to Silent Hills? Though you long to see what could have been, you’ve accepted that all you’ll have is P.T., if you’re among those who downloaded before it ceased to exist on the PSN store? Well, I get to be the asshole who gives you another reason to mourn what’ll never be.

Today on Twitter, del Toro decided to let it be known that Junji Ito, creator of Uzumaki, Gyo, and Tomie was a collaborator on the Silent Hills team:

Soon after, every gaming website started googling Junji Ito to find the most horrifying art they could for their header images (there’s some seriously cool stuff, I really recommend Uzumaki). This could’ve been a fascinating fusion of artists. There was a hole in my heart, but it’s gone now. I just hope that we keep getting tidbits of information on what might’ve been, and eventually what the hell happened at Konami in general.
