Silent Hill: The Short Message is free and now available on PS5

Short notice.

Konami announced as part of the Playstation State of Play Stream that a new entry of the Silent Hill series, Silent Hill: The Short Message, not only exists but also is available now for free.

Silent Hill: The Short Message has you play as Anita, a woman who finds herself in a desolate apartment block after following messages from her friend, Maya. The trailer appears to demonstrate themes of bullying and suicide, which sounds pretty Silent Hill to me.

The trailer shows everything from a first-person perspective and omits combat, which makes it seem like a walking sim. It might be worth a look anyway, as Konami has released the game for free, so you’re only playing with your time.

Silent Hill: The Short Message is available now exclusively on on PS5.
