Silence rings loudest in new trailer for The Quiet Man

Silent and violent… (I’m so sorry)

A new cinematic trailer has been released for Square Enix curious action-adventure, The Quiet Man, which sees a deaf gangland enforcer tasked with rescuing a kidnapped nightclub singer.

The trailer, which blends gameplay footage with The Quiet Man’s live-action video sequences, is the first mainstream marketing point for the mysterious new title, following an obscure teaser at E3 2018 and a recent Japanese live stream, where we got to see some basic brawling mechanics in action.

Designed to be completed in a single three-hour sitting, players will guide the protagonist, Dane, through a deadly urban night. The Quiet Man features no HUD, communicating information to the player through the use of colour and visual effects. The only sound heard during gameplay will come from Dane’s violent encounters with the seedy underworld.

The Quiet Man is currently in development for PS4 and PC.
