Capcom has shipped two million copies of Street Fighter IV to the US. While the game isn’t sold out in stores, the demand is quite impressive considering the series’ eleven-year hiatus.
What makes Street Fighter IV so popular, you ask? Ken. Around 1.9 million SFIV owners actively use Ken in online competition. Last night I asked a prolific Ken user, xxMUFFINRIDAXX, why the red devil is so attractive. Instead of bothering to give me a direct answer — and who has the time when you’re spamming the dragon punch — he simply said, “You’re a noob.”
Not even a quick lariat has the flair of that user’s response to my inquiry.
